Join Us in Celebrating Collection D’Art
We are absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news with you, our valued cross stitch community. This autumn, RTO and its co-brand Collection D’Art invited us at HobbyDo Craft, along with a wonderful group of cross stitch FlossTubers, to take part in launching a brand-new Collection D’Art counted cross stitch kits collection.
Earlier, we shared a detailed announcement and overview of this new counted cross stitch release on our blog. There, we introduced the designs, formats, and key features of the collection.
It was truly a pleasure and an honour to collaborate with these internationally recognised needlework brands. Meeting new FlossTubers and the talented, passionate stitchers behind the scenes was an absolute joy. Connecting with these lovely ladies, all united by their love of cross stitching, was an inspiring experience. Their enthusiasm, openness, and genuine passion for the craft are so contagious that you can’t help but want to pick up your next stitching project straight away.
The Joy of Crafting
It’s wonderful to see people who truly live their hobbies and let them shine, sparkle, and bring happiness not only to themselves but to everyone around them. For some, cross stitching is not just a hobby but an important part of their work and daily life. Isn’t it amazing how a creative craft like cross stitch can fill life with energy, purpose, and joy?
As part of this project, these talented cross stitchers created fantastic overviews of the new Collection D’Art counted cross stitch kits on their FlossTube channels. We’ve already received incredibly positive feedback from stitchers all around the world.

Could you introduce yourself?
My name is Lindsi, and my YouTube channel is Blushing Pink Stitches. I live in Colchester in the UK, and I’ve been stitching since I was 16 years old.
What inspires your stitching style or the projects you choose?
When I was 16, I found a cross-stitch book in my local library. After finishing my GCSE exams, I had a longer holiday break, so I decided to buy the materials and give it a go. I remember framing my first piece and gifting it to my mum. She still has it! This kickstarted my lifelong love for the craft. I started my FlossTube channel in January 2022 after watching inspiring stitchers share their projects. I wanted to connect with like-minded people and spark the same passion for cross stitch in others.
One of my main inspirations comes from watching other stitchers share their pieces. Seeing a project come to life and its beauty makes me want to stitch it too. I am particularly inspired by cross stitch kits and full coverage projects because I love the level of detail they offer.
Is there something you love about Collection D’Art or this new counted cross stitch kits’ release in particular?
I love the modern, fun, and fresh designs from Collection D’Art. The kits are manageable and achievable because they are not too large, yet they still maintain the wonderful detail that is so important to me.

LAURA
Could you introduce yourself?
My name is Laura. I am from Finland but have lived in Melbourne, Australia, for quite a few years now. I have been stitching on and off since I was a teenager, but more actively for the last 10–15 years.
How did you get into cross stitching and FlossTube?
My mum was always into various handcrafts, mostly knitting and quilting. I remember seeing cross stitch projects in her craft magazines. We even ordered a couple of kits! It felt like such a fun hobby. I never thought I would have a FlossTube channel, but I wanted to connect with other stitchers. I also stitch a different style of projects compared to most FlossTubers, so I thought it would be fun to introduce new brands and designers to others.
What inspires your stitching style or the projects you choose?
I love backstitching and beautiful colours. I adore projects with smooth colour changes, even if that means using many blends. I enjoy stitching projects that make me smile and laugh, especially wonky animals or those that remind me of Finland, like snowy landscapes and berries. Oddly enough, I’m not keen on real birds, but they are so fun to cross stitch! I have too many chicken patterns waiting to be stitched!
Is there something you love about Collection D’Art or this new counted cross stitch kits’ release in particular?
These kits are suitable for many different skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Often, patterns like landscapes can be large and overwhelming, but this release features beautiful landscapes with many details that are still easy to stitch. And of course, I love all the funny animals too! The horses, in particular, have such amusing facial expressions.

CHARLY
Could you introduce yourself?
I'm Charly, and my channel is Stitches with Charly Feathers. I live in West Cornwall, UK, and I've been stitching for almost 5 years since my second daughter was born.
How did you get into cross stitching and FlossTube?
Before I cross stitched, I was a prolific knitter and occasionally dabbled in embroidery. One day, I saw the original Dreaming Girl pattern by Barbara Ana on Instagram, and it called me to stitch it. Ever since then, I've been obsessed with cross stitch! I used to have a knitting YouTube channel, but I decided to start recording again to share my cross-stitch projects.
What inspires your stitching style or the projects you choose?
Nature and whimsical art constantly inspire me. I seek that little bit of magic and joyful moments in every day. For this reason, I love stitching landscapes and anything whimsical or magical. I enjoy stitching anything from full coverage to tiny pillows. Designs that use blended threads for a delicate flow of colours are my favourite. I also love backstitch, as it brings a design to life.
Is there something you love about Collection D’Art or this new counted cross stitch kits’ release in particular?
Collection D’Art is a special company with a well-respected eye for cross stitch design through tapestry kits. The new collection offers something for everyone, making cross stitch accessible and beginner-friendly.
